Our approach
Executive Narrative GCC provides executive career advisory, diagnostic, positioning and professional development services. Our work may include Executive Diagnostics, Development Roadmaps, executive CVs, LinkedIn positioning, executive biographies, career-transition advisory, visibility strategy, search-access support, coaching, reassessment and other agreed interventions.
Because much of our work involves professional analysis, research, judgment, strategy and intellectual work that begins before a final document is produced, refunds are assessed according to the stage an engagement has reached.
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights available to a client under applicable law.
1. When an engagement begins
An engagement begins when Executive Narrative GCC receives full payment for the service or package. Payment is taken in full and upfront. We do not take deposits or part-payments.
Following payment, we may begin activities including onboarding, review of submitted information, CV and LinkedIn analysis, preparation for the Executive Diagnostic, destination or market research, scheduling, file setup and allocation of professional capacity.
The applicable scope, deliverables, fee and expected timeline will normally be confirmed in the proposal, invoice or written engagement communication.
2. Cancellation before substantive Diagnostic or delivery work begins
If you decide to cancel after payment but before substantive Diagnostic, advisory or production work has begun, you may request a refund.
Unless different written terms were agreed for your engagement, the fees paid will be refunded less a holding fee of 10%.
The holding fee covers professional time and capacity already committed to the engagement, including initial consultation, administration, onboarding, document review, preliminary preparation and related work undertaken after payment.
A cancellation request should be made in writing as soon as possible.
3. When substantive work is considered to have begun
Substantive work includes, depending on the engagement, activities such as pre-Diagnostic preparation, detailed review of career evidence, destination or market research, conducting the Executive Diagnostic interview, assessment or analysis, preparation of Diagnostic findings, development of an Executive Development Roadmap, executive writing, document development, LinkedIn/profile rebuilding, advisory sessions, coaching, research, reassessment or other professional work forming part of the agreed engagement.
Once substantive work on a service component has begun, the fee attributable to that component becomes non-refundable.
4. Executive Diagnostic and Development Roadmap
The Executive Diagnostic is a professional advisory service and a substantive intellectual deliverable in its own right. Its value is not dependent on whether the client subsequently chooses to purchase or continue with CV writing, LinkedIn optimisation, executive visibility, career-transition support or another intervention.
Once groundwork research for your Diagnostic has begun, including while your engagement is held on our waiting list, 75% of the Diagnostic fee is retained and 25% is refundable. Once the Diagnostic interview has taken place, or analysis or report development has begun, the Diagnostic component is non-refundable.
Once an Executive Diagnostic Report, Development Roadmap or equivalent advisory output has been substantially prepared or delivered, that work is considered completed for refund purposes.
5. Bundled and multi-stage engagements
Some engagements combine the Executive Diagnostic with later positioning, development or implementation services.
Where components of a package are clearly separable and a later-stage component has not yet begun, Executive Narrative GCC may assess whether an unused portion is eligible for a partial refund. Completed, delivered or commenced components remain non-refundable.
Any refund assessment will take into account the scope stated in the proposal, the professional work already completed, resources committed and whether the remaining component can reasonably be separated from work already undertaken.
6. Standalone CV, LinkedIn, biography and positioning services
Standalone services may remain available where appropriate. For a standalone CV, LinkedIn profile, executive biography, cover letter or similar positioning service, the applicable fee becomes non-refundable once substantive research, strategy, writing, editing or development of that deliverable has begun.
Where cancellation occurs before substantive work begins, the cancellation provision in Section 2 applies unless different written terms were agreed.
7. Revisions and professional satisfaction
Executive Narrative GCC is committed to ensuring that completed deliverables accurately reflect the agreed positioning strategy, factual career history and original scope of the engagement. Reasonable revisions are therefore supported within the agreed scope.
A revision may include clarification, correction, refinement of language, adjustment of emphasis or another reasonable change required to properly reflect the agreed positioning.
Our revision commitment does not require Executive Narrative GCC to provide an entirely new engagement without additional fees.
A new target role, different sector, different geography, materially different career objective, newly introduced work history, additional deliverable or substantial change of direction may be treated as a scope change. Where a request falls outside the original scope, we will explain the additional requirement before proceeding and may provide a revised fee or timeline.
8. Client information and factual accuracy
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and sufficiently complete information about their career history, responsibilities, achievements, qualifications and objectives.
Executive Narrative GCC may help clarify, structure and communicate that information but will not knowingly manufacture qualifications, achievements, employment history, commercial results or other material facts.
Where new information is supplied after substantial work has been completed, additional work or a revised timeline may be required.
9. Timelines and client delays
The expected delivery schedule for each engagement will be communicated through the proposal, onboarding communication or other written confirmation. Timelines may vary according to the complexity and scope of the engagement.
Where delivery depends on client information, approvals, interviews, documents or feedback, delays in receiving those items may pause or extend the project timeline. A delayed response from a client does not by itself create an entitlement to a refund for work already performed.
10. No employment or career-outcome guarantee
Executive Narrative GCC provides career strategy, executive positioning, professional development and advisory services.
We do not guarantee interviews, recruiter contact, employment, job offers, promotions, board appointments, salary increases, visa approvals, employer responses, executive-search outcomes, investment, introductions or any other result controlled by a third party.
Our role is to strengthen positioning, evidence, readiness, communication and market presentation based on the agreed engagement. Individual outcomes remain affected by factors outside our control, including market conditions, competition, employer requirements, timing, personal qualifications and third-party decisions.
11. Search access, introductions and ongoing advisory
Where an engagement includes recruiter access, market intelligence, introductions, visibility support or ongoing advisory, the service relates to professional access, preparation or facilitation.
It does not constitute a promise that a particular recruiter, employer, investor, board, organisation or decision-maker will respond, meet with, shortlist or appoint a client.
12. Exceptional circumstances
If Executive Narrative GCC is unable to provide a paid service for reasons solely within our control and no reasonable alternative can be offered, we may provide an appropriate full or partial refund for the undelivered portion of the engagement.
This will be assessed according to the work already completed and the circumstances of the engagement.
13. Refund processing
Where a refund is approved under this policy, Executive Narrative GCC will normally initiate the refund within 14 calendar days after the refund has been confirmed.
Where reasonably possible, payment will be returned using the original payment route or another mutually agreed method. Bank, card issuer, payment-provider, currency-conversion or international-transfer processing times are outside the control of Executive Narrative GCC.
14. Engagement-specific terms
A proposal, invoice, corporate agreement, engagement letter or other written agreement may contain terms specific to a particular engagement. Where those written terms are more specific than this general policy, the engagement-specific terms will apply to the extent permitted by law.
15. Acceptance and policy changes
By making payment and commencing an engagement with Executive Narrative GCC, you acknowledge the refund, cancellation and revision terms communicated for that engagement.
We may update this policy as the business, services or legal requirements evolve. Changes will apply prospectively and will not retrospectively remove rights already applicable to an engagement unless required by law.
